Sunrise in the countryside

“Let us therefore set out whole-heartedly, leaving aside our many distractions and exert ourselves in this single purpose, before we realize too late the swift and unstoppable flight of time and are left behind. As each day arises, welcome it as the very best day of all, and make it your own possession. We must seize what flees.” Seneca’s Moral letters.

Agency

Everyday HAS to have the same kind of urgency as if you knew for a fact that it was your last day to do your greatest work. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you will die tonight or tomorrow, although it is of course possible. But life brings many surprises, good and bad. Many things can happen and make today the last shot, the last opportunity to get this task done, to accomplish this goal.

We start from zero. AGAIN

Today is the day, where you start, like every day, from zero. Where you renew your habits, your behaviors, and your goals, Where you renew your commitment to living a virtuous life. Where you sit down, again for the first time, to practice a new meditation (every meditation is different, as is every day). Carpe Diem. Even if you do get another day to live tomorrow, you only get ONE SHOT to live today.
